Songbird - YONIE

A somber, emotional video for an intense ballad.

YONIE wanted a video that felt like winter and included a strong theme of contemplation. Although we didn’t have snow, the dead trees, the video’s tone, and YONIE’s performance makes it shine.

The video came together on a tight timeline, so our skills in per-production were essential. We held a tech scout to pre-vis our thoughts and made an expansive shot list to guide us through the day.

The idea of multiple YONIEs performing to nobody was established early on, and is the cornerstone for the story that weaves the video and song together.
